"中国广播网"(www.cnr.cn)由中央人民广播电台主办，具有鲜明的广播特色，致力于打造“全天24小时不间断直播的中文互动在线广播第一品牌”，建设全球最大中文音频网络门户，通过互联网"让中国的声音传向世界各地"。
"中国广播网"的前身是中央人民广播电台网站，1998年8月13日注册开通，是中国中央新闻单位中最早开通互联网站的单位之一。2002年1月1日，正式更名"中国广播网"。2005年7月28日，中国广播网银河台开通仪式，开办直播频道、中国民乐、古典音乐、相声小品和长篇评书等特色专题频道。2008年9月，中国广播网推出全球首家24小时华语新闻广播站。
2009年3月1日，中国广播网完成第八次大规模改版推出新版，实现广播资源向现代网络立体化、多元化、图文视频化转型，新版增辟《中国广播联盟》、《全球华语广播网》、《全国高校广播节目联盟》、《音频世界》、《倾听中南海》、《3G手机》等频道，贴近网民强化提供网络音频直播、点播、下载、搜索、上传、存储、增值、分享等Web 2.0新技术应用，新主页提供个性化版式、栏目切换和RSS新闻定制服务，形成网上广播、图文、视频多媒体传播合力。
中国广播网致力于搭建全球最大的中文正版音频媒资库，网友不仅可以在线收听中央电台和中国广播联盟节目在线直播和三百多个栏目在线点播，而且还可订制高品位、高质量、个性化移动互联网产品。
中国广播网先后荣获中华全国总工会授予“抗震救灾 重建家园 工人先锋号”、中国互联网协会授予“行业自律奖”、 “中国互联网Web2.0 100强”等称号。中国广播网落实科学发展观大型系列主题报道获得中国新闻奖一等奖、《永远的丰碑》、《劳动者之歌》栏目获中国新闻奖名栏目、派出记者参加“穿越三北风沙源”大型系列报道获中国新闻奖一等奖、首页设计获中国新闻奖三等奖，“我的奥运”报道荣获国务院新闻办公室最佳页面奖。
中国广播网中广在线、银河网络电台、电子杂志先后获得“2005、2006、2007年度中国互联网站品牌栏目”。
CNR.CN is the online service of China National Radio, the single national radio in China covering the whole country. CNR.CN aims to be “the top band of 24-hour non-stop interactive online broadcaster in the Chinese language” and “the largest Chinese audio portal website” so as to spread the voice of China to the world through internet.
CNR.CN, first registered on 13 Aug. 1998 as “cnradio.com”, one of the earliest news website launched by central media organizations in China, was official renamed on 1 Jan. 2002. On 28 Jul. 2005 CNR.CN set up its web radio, Galaxy Radio (www.radio.cn), to broadcast programs online such as Chinese folk music, classic music, cross talk, short play and storytelling. CNR.CN made its historic advance in Sep. 2008 when 24-hour news webcasting in Chinese was achieved.
On 1 March 2009 CNR.CN took a brand new version after 8 broad-scale revisions. As a result, the existing broadcast resources are upgraded into and enriched with graphics, video clips and in-depth articles. New channels are added such as China Broadcasting Union, Global Chinese Broadcasting Cooperation, Network of University Radios, Audio World, Listen to Zhongnanhai and 3G Mobil. With the new technology of Web 2.0, CNR.CN is able to provide new and more personalized services including audio-on-demand, download, upload, searching, storage, RSS news feeds and high-speed mobile internet access. Now real-time programs of China National Radio and China Broadcasting Union and audio-on-demand service of over 300 columns of programs are available on CNR.CN.
CNR.CN are rewarded with a great many of prestigious prizes, which are organized by All China Federation of Trade Unions, China Association of Internet, China Association of Journalists and Information Office of the State Council, for its excellence in news reporting, technology, web design and professional ethics.
